Acts 14:23 (April 8th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

We know that God answer prayers but did you know that God does not want us to just pray, He wants us to fast too.  In this day and age it is extremely difficult to fast because we are faced with the smell, pictures (magazines), view (TV), drive by areas that have lines of restaurants - plus, food is so good! But the Bible tells us to "commit", so I too better do that and commit to prayer and fasting.

Deuteronomy 21:5 (April 8th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

"…for the Lord your God has chosen" - who has He chosen?  YOU!!!!!  God has chosen you because you are special.  He wants to bless you.  He wants to protect you.  He wants to heal you.  He wants to call you son or daughter.  God will NEVER abandon you - and you must remember that.  Does not matter what you have gone through or you are going through.  He is so merciful that if you ask him with a sincere heart, He will forgive you and immediately bless you with everything that you need.  Remember He chose you not some else, 'trust Him'.

Acts 13:33 (April 7th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

We are sons and daughters of God.  He has made us.  God has so many wonderful things for us because we are his children.  We all know that parents always try to give their children the best they have - how more so our God who knows us and knows what we need.  All we need to do is ask Him and have faith that He will not fail us. The problem is that we think that God doesn't answer our prayers…oh how wrong you are my friend -- God ALWAYS answers prayers - it might not be the answer you wanted but nevertheless He answers your prayer.  Remember there are three possible answers: "Yes", "No", or "not now-later".

Deuteronomy 20:4 (April 7th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

God goes with us wherever we go.  God protects us constantly.  God guides us every second of the day.  So why is it that when we are facing an enemy, we forget that God who is present all the time, He can help us defeat this enemy and give us "victory".  I think that we don't realize that an enemy is not just a person.  There are many different enemies that come to take away or destroy our peace.  There are large enemies in this world like hunger, war, terrorism but the everyday enemies like no job, no car, no money, relationship problems can defeat us too.  Again, we have to allow God to fight against our enemies by praying (talking to Him) and asking for the victory He has promised.

Acts 12:5 (April 6th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

As a christian I believe in the power of prayer.  The Bible mentions of earnest prayer to Him, God.  Through out the Bible we see how different men and women prayed and God answered without hesitation.  We read of stories of God healing, protecting, comforting, feeding, and more because people prayed.  God has not changed and never will so why don't we too pray earnestly for the things that we need like healing, protection, comfort, and feeding and more.  Today is a good day to have earnest prayer to God - just start.

Deuteronomy 15:18 (April 6th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

I doesn't matter what circumstances your are facing, if you have accepted Jesus as your savior and believe in Him, He will bless you in all you do.  Trust in God all the time.  Believe that He can do anything.  We are so lucky to have a God that continuously forgives us and blesses us with things that we could not even imagine that could be possible.  Thank you Lord for all your blessing.

Acts 11:23 (April 5th)

Quiet Time Nugget:

I pray that I am faithful to the Lord until the day I die.  There are so many roads but only one towards Him.  I pray that I continue on that road no matter how difficult it may be.  All roads are difficult but what is at the end of the road is what matters, eternal life.  I must have a steadfast purpose.  I know I can do it with His guidance.  Where do you find this guidance? - In His Word.  I love to read the Bible and this new journey is helping me do that more and more everyday.  (Hope you can join me and of course tell others, spread the gospel!)
